Lucky Finds #4

Sometimes, while we’re browsing the darkened corners of the internet, we stumble upon a piece of work that can’t easily be categorised but we want to bring them to you anyway. This is the third of a series: every time we find an image in isolation that has genuine artistic merit, we’ll add it to Lucky Finds. Today, it’s this…

Unfortunately, we have no information on this image. It was found on an old forum post discussing cameras.

Everything about it makes us want to know more; the soft background focus, the colouring on the fingers and the flesh, the uncertainty of the twisted position of the model. It begs the question, is the grasp one of an appeal for help or an invitation?

NB: If you happen to know of the photographer, we’d love to hear from you.
