Pleasure Products: From Concept to Creation is being held in London on Friday 1st March.

Whether you work in the industry, write product reviews, or have an interest in how toys come to market, this unique event will be both educational and entertaining with talks from the below panel of experts:

Emma Podmore – Sextoys.co.uk
Emma Podmore
Emma Podmore is the Marketing Guru of Sextoys.co.uk – part of the larger organisation, Net 1on1 which operates as a retailer, wholesalers and drop-shipping company here in the UK.

Her background in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Retail and Design, plus a kinky, forward thinking mind make her an ideal key speaker for Pleasure Products: From Concept to Creation.

Emma manages all aspects of PR from social media to writing content for The Vibe blog and she will be sharing her knowledge of today’s products, including current trends, how and why the market has evolved in recent years, plus giving us some inside knowledge of some of the biggest sellers.

Later in the evening, after having a go at designing your own pleasure product, Emma will be back to talk about how she markets toys – through social media especially – and she’ll lend a hand, offering suggestions for your designs.
Like all of our speakers, Emma is open to questions and is ready for a fun night!

Being invited to speak at one of Erotic Meet’s prestigious events is a real career highlight for me so far. I’ve been in the industry for nearly a year now, but by no means does this mean that I wasn’t already switched on to the world of adult pleasure products, various fetishes and kink culture beforehand. Previous experience in Public Relations, Marketing and Retail Branding combined with my flirtatious flair helps me get the edge when it comes to selling a sexy service or perverted product! Most notably, being able to rub shoulders with such big names with even bigger presences in the field at this event is not only inspiring but humbling. I’m really looking forward to what’s in store!Emma says;

Stu Nugent – Ann Summers
Stu Nugent
Stu Nugent is the Brand Copywriter at Ann Summers. With over 140 stores across the UK it is one of the best known companies of sex toys and lingerie, attracting thousands of customers daily.

Close to a decade’s worth of experience within the adult industry has seen Stu co-managing various online retailers, designing artwork, photographing events and writing televised adverts and so the knowledge he’ll be sharing at Pleasure Products: From Concept to Creation is sure to be invaluable whether you are currently working in the market or have an interest in writing and design work for industry corporations.

Kicking off the evening with a brief history of pleasure products, from the very first that we now know of to exploring cultural progress, Stu will then return to the table to speak about the process of naming and branding toys before they hit the shelves and give tips to make yours stand out from the crowd. Like Emma, he will be having some fun, suggesting straplines for your own designs and is happy to answer your questions throughout the night.

I’ve been a participating member of Erotic Meet since its inception and the contacts I’ve made and events I’ve attended have been invaluable – and they continue to grow in originality and creativity. Now, since I’ve been given the opportunity to impart some of my industry knowledge and experience at the Pleasure Products event, I feel like I’m finally really contributing something of merit and I can’t wait just to be in the same room with so many other authorities and experts.Stu says;
