Prophylactic rain that doesn’t wet anything

The anonymous artistic group, Luzinterruptus returned to Campo de la Cebada in May to create this interactive installation, Prophylactic rain that doesn’t wet anything.

In an area previously converted from a neighborhood square, to a public swimming pool and one which is now to be turned into a luxury and leisure market, reducing the sports facilities from the local residents, the intention of Luzinterruptus was to “leave a little lighted water in memory of former uses”.

Getting the community involved, they set about filling 800 condoms with blue coloured water and the effect is one of extreme beauty – and good fun!
