Bringing Art to Life: Boudicca Blue Bodyart

Article posted by Afterglow on

Body painting is a fascinating art form that often encompasses fantasy and performance to bring a unique experience to the onlooker.

But you know that already don’t you? You want to see some images right?

The below models were painted by Fiona of Boudicca Blue Bodyart Ltd (and her ex-business partner Jules) who has competed in body painting festivals around the world and who we met a few years ago at an Erotica UK event.

Much of Boudicca Blue’s influence is derived from art disciplines such as the Pre-Raphaelites, Art Nouveau, Art Deco and the Arts & Crafts Movement. When designing a new body paint, Fi keeps in mind words and phrases such as beauty, balance, movement, harmony and elegance. Boudicca Blue love to create works that are stunningly beautiful, ethereal and based in nature but she also likes to mix it up by creating art that is dark, mythical, vampiric, gothic or fetish based.

“Boudicca Blue’s body painting is a breathing and moving work of art for which I love to design elaborate, detailed artwork with various colour combinations, balance and flow, mainly using the discipline of brush and sponge. I work to take my creativity with body painting to the highest level with careful planning and execution. Each design is a unique piece, both thought provoking and original, especially designed to suit the format or theme of my clients’ requirements. I also love creating all of my props such as various headpieces, accessories, weapons, nails and adapted shoes to ensure that finished look is complete and cohesive”.

If you’d like to try your hand at body painting, let us know and if enough people are interested, we’ll ask Fi along to one of our events to host a workshop soon.
